Thoughts from the Editor
Our summer adventure has not started as well as we planned.

We picked up my grandson Aidan on Friday night around 9 pm and then he drove us up to camp. We got in just about 5 am. Over a very cold winter, the housing on our water pump froze, causing a flurry of activity to get running water and heat into the house. It was made more difficult by our arrival on a holiday weekend, when plumbing supplies (and plumbers) were not readily available. But our family's expertise in Gerry-rigging saved the day and we are up and running.

However, our happiness was short-lived as we lost our little Cairn terrier, Princess on June 6th.

The lake is very low with an increased shoreline, which I think she thought she should explore. After two days of searching, my neighbor came over to inform us that he had found her by his boathouse. The part that I find comforting is that she died in the state she was born in, and in a place she loved. At 18, she had a long and interesting life.

Have fun this summer Creekers, especially on Wacky Wednesdays at the pool.
