Family traditions and holidays go hand in hand. With the holidays in December, many of these traditions come alive. When we are children, our parents create the magic associated with the holidays. We look forward to doing the same activities and eating the same foods year after year. Traditions are comforting and bring special meaning to our holiday celebrations. Once we become adults, we create new traditions while also incorporating some of the old ones. In this way, the traditions live on. As we get older our families grow with the addition of in-laws. Together we blend our customs, making for new and exciting traditions. Seeing our holiday traditions being passed down to the next generation brings a sense of peace and nostalgia.
