2024 Pool Rules & Regulations

Pool Schedule and Hours

  • Pool will open: Saturday, May 25th
  • Pool will close: Monday, September 9th

Open Hours:

  • Pool: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily
  • Patio Area: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (weather permitting)

Gates:

  • Lock at: 8:00 PM
  • Remain locked until: 9:00 AM (to allow for pre-opening maintenance)

Lifeguard:

  • On duty until: 4:00 PM daily
  • Swimming from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM is permitted at: "Your Own Risk Only" (young guests are not permitted)
  • Young guests (ages 0-18) will be permitted to use the pool:
    • Monday through Sunday and Holidays: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    • No young guests will be allowed in the Patio Area after 4:00 PM
    • An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 12 when using the Clubhouse

General Rules

Resident Badges:

  • Homeowners will receive one resident badge per registered resident (as per the 2024 Resident Information form).
  • Lending of resident badges is not permitted.
  • Guest badges are available for purchase at $5.00 each for the season (through the Pool Committee).
  • Badges purchased through the Association Office will cost $10 each.
  • Maximum purchase of 10 badges allowed.
  • Badges can be re-used each year with the purchase of a yearly sticker.
  • Children five (5) years and under do not require a guest badge.

Entering the Pool Area: 

  • Homeowners or adult guests signing in a party must report to the Lifeguard station.
  • Provide all required information and complete the sign-in log.
  • All homeowners and guests must have badges visible.
  • No one will be allowed to enter the pool area without a badge.

Before Entering the Pool:

  • By State Law, everyone must rinse off before entering the pool.
  • An outside shower is provided.

Adult Guests:

  • Adult guests age nineteen (19) and over, with valid guest badges, will be allowed to sign their party into the pool area.
  • Young guests under the age of 19 cannot sign themselves in and must be chaperoned by an adult age nineteen (19) or older at all times.
  • The homeowner is responsible for all actions by their guests.

Young Guests:

  • An adult must accompany all young guests under the age of 5 in the pool.
  • An adult must be in the water with any young guest who uses "swimmies" or an around-the-waist tube.
  • Rafts, tubes, and other inflatables may be used in the pool with proper adult supervision.
  • Generally, they will be prohibited during periods of moderate to heavy pool usage.
  • Strollers for infants are permitted.

Evacuating the Pool:

  • When the Lifeguard blows the whistle and directs the pool to be vacated, everyone must exit the pool.

After 4:00 PM:

  • When the Lifeguard leaves at 4:00 PM, the Lifeguard will lock the back and side gates.
  • Access to the pool when there is no Lifeguard present will be through the main gate only.
  • From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, swimming is permitted at "Your Own Risk Only."

Swimming Alone:

  • NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO SWIM ALONE.
  • REMEMBER YOUNG GUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE POOL OR POOL AREA WHEN A LIFEGUARD IS NOT ON DUTY.

Diapers:

  • Children in diapers must wear leak-proof swimming wear.

Prohibited Activities:

  • Diving, cannon balling, jumping into the pool, sitting on steps leading into the pool, ball playing within the fence or in the pool, throwing a frisbee, or running are not permitted.

 

Pool Lift: The pool lift for the physically impaired is available with Lifeguard assistance only. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

Pool Closure: During inclement weather, such as lightning and thunder, or other conditions hazardous to swimmers, the Lifeguard, Trustee, or Pool Committee Member is authorized to close the pool. Under such circumstances, everyone must leave the pool. The pool will remain closed or reopen at the discretion of the Lifeguard, Trustee, and/or Pool Committee Member.

Lounge Chairs and Tables: Reserving lounge chairs or tables is prohibited. They are available on first come, first served basis. Food and drinks are permitted in the pool area but not in the pool. Glass containers are not permitted. All garbage must be disposed of in the proper receptacles.

Restrooms: The restrooms are accessible from the clubhouse side door and require a key card to enter. Footwear must be worn when entering the clubhouse and restrooms.

Pets: Pets are not permitted in the pool area unless they are working animals for the physically impaired.

Health Requirements: Any person showing evidence of skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts and bandages, or any communicable disease will be refused admission. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused admission within the fence.

Smoking: Smoking is permitted in the Board approved designated area only between the hours of 12 PM to 4 PM. 

Bathing Apparel: All bathers must wear appropriate swimming apparel. Cut-offs or any street attire is not permitted to be worn in the pool.

Homeowner/Resident Responsibility: Homeowners/residents or their guests who do anything that causes or results in the pool being drained or creating any damage on or around the pool area will be responsible for all related costs and repairs. Homeowners/residents are responsible for the actions of their guests and any damage caused by their guests or themselves.

Pump House Access: Only authorized persons are permitted in the pump house. Residents are not allowed to store any personal property in the pump house.

Emergency Phone and Release Button: Anyone using the pool facilities does so at their own risk. An emergency phone and emergency release button are located at the primary entrance near the side entrance to the Clubhouse.

Entry into the Pool Area When Closed: Entry into the pool area when closed is prohibited.

Personal Music Players: Personal music players are permitted with headsets only.

Fire Door: The door at the Great Room is a fire door exit only.

Foul Language: Foul and/or abusive or inappropriate language is not permitted. Violation of this rule could result in loss of pool privileges for the day. Anyone found to be causing a problem will be asked to leave the pool per the Lifeguard's, Trustee's, and/or Pool Committee Member's discretion.

These rules and regulations are intended to ensure the safety and protection of all CRANBERRY CREEK homeowners/residents and their guests while in the swimming pool area. It is the responsibility of the homeowners/residents to familiarize themselves with these rules and make them known to their guests.

In all matters regarding the use of the pool, any Lifeguard, Trustee, and/or Pool Committee Member shall have the authority to enforce any rules pertaining to safety and the operation of the pool.

Failure to obey any Lifeguard, Trustee, and/or Pool Committee Member, and/or any violation of these rules and regulations may result in the suspension of pool privileges.

*** Pool privileges will be suspended for any homeowner when monthly maintenance fees, legal fees, assessed fines or special assessments are delinquent. ***
